Do you have to drink the juice drink right away or can you make batches and store in the refrigerator for later use?
It is best to drink the juicer right away after making it. This ensures that you receive the most nutrients- vitamins, enzymes, minerals.. If you did want to store the juice, I would recommend using a green power juicer or green life juicer, as there juices can be stored longer with the least amount of nutrition loss. I personally drink juice that I make as soon as it is made, and IF I store the juice (which is RARE) I only store it for up to 24 hours.

I want to juice strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and tomatoes. . I need advice on the Greenlife or Champion or Omega 8001.
Actually I do not reccomend a juicer for the above fruits. They are VERY HARD to juice (they are very soft) with ANY juicer we sell. (ie: alot of pulp, and not much juice). A better plan would be to BLEND them up into a smoothie. I hope this helps. Of the three units above, the champion would work best, but as I said, I DO NOT reccomend juicing them, they are very soft, and yield will not be that great.

I would like to juice oranges and carrots daily. Can you recommend one juicer for this or should I get 2 seperate juicers?
I would start out with one juicer. If you didn't like how it does citrus (orange), purchase another . (I use two here, but Im in the business)

    Best single juicer:
The omega 1000 or omega 9000 with citrus attachment might be your best bet..

I would prefer (the 4000 is more versitile in my opinion) the omega 4000 (for carrots) and then an orangeX manual for the citrus.

Assuming I want to start with one 16-ounce glass of juice a day, how much will the fruits/veg cost on a weekly basis?
It depends on the produce costs.. Well it takes me about 5 pounds of carrots to make about 5 cups of juice. So if carrots cost $.25 a pound, it would cost $.50 for a 16 oz glass a day.

Do any of your juicers juice sugar cane?
The lequip visor, samson, and omega 8001 juicer will juice sugar cane on a small scale- but the can must be hulled, and then cut into thin strips and fed into the juicer without any outlet knob attached. For commercial uses, Please see www.automaticjuicer.com I believe they offer one. (It is several thousand dollars)

Is the Omega 1000 or 4000 a better machine in your opinion?
Well lets put it this way:

Would you buy a car that was made 50 years ago or one made 10 years ago?? of course the 50 yr old car has less "technology" in it, but is a "workhorse".. the 10 yr old car has newer technology and is also made just as well..

Thats what I feel about the 1000 and the 4000... The 1000 has been around for about 50 years, and I feel the 4000 is much improved.. the yield isnt worth it (to me) for the extra cleaning effort, and the machine (1000) sometimes "vibrates" across the table because the pulp sometimes gets off balance inside when spinning around.. (much like a washing machine on the spin cycle sometimes gets off balance)

I would go with the 4000 (actually, I have several ejection juicers here that I use)

The 1000 must be stopped after about 1 quart of juice and cleaned. In any case, they are both FINE machines. The 4000 does have a 15 yr warranty, and the 1000 only a 10 year.

Which juicer would be best to make frozen banana ice cream?
The Champion, Omega 8001, Oscar, Green Life and Green Power machines makes the best banana Ice Kreem that I have ever tasted. Its even better if you put a few frozen strawberries in it.

Can your juicers be used to grind nuts into butters?
The Champion and Green Power / Green Life Juicers will grind nuts into nut butters.
They will be more of a "crunchy" consistency and not "creamy" as in the stores, it takes real powerful machines to make the "creamy" nut
butters. The champion tends to do a better job than the green life /power machines, since they are more powerful. The green life/power machines have made raw almonds into almond powder instead of butter (this is due to the low oil content of raw almonds), to make butter, just add some almond oil.

When I juice some fruits and vegetables, how long before it starts to lose its potency in my fridge?
I always recommend drinking juice as soon as its made for highest nutritional value. It starts to "degrate" immediately after its made, much like an apple turns brown, once cut open.

I generally drink juice RIGHT after its made.. If for some reason, I need to store it, I do not store juice for over 24 hours. If storing be sure to store it in a sealed container with NO excess air space in the fridge.

HELP! I stained one of my favorite shirts with carrot juice, can you suggest a way to get it out?
We have had a report that Spray & Wash works..the Spray & Wash container doesn't really divulge its' actual ingredients; only states words like surfactant, enzymes, stabilizers. . .

How do I remove the stains from my juicer?
Try putting them into a pan/bowl/bucket of OXI CLEAN solution overnight or for a few hours.

From my observation of juicers that friends have is the problem of frothing of the juice. Does any juicer deliver a juice that does not have this problem?
Most juicers produce a froth. Some produce less froth than others. I can suggest using a strainer to strain the juice as it comes out of the juicer before it goes into the collection bowl to reduce the froth. It has also been reccomended to use a gravy seperator to remove the froth.

What appliances (perhaps more than one at a time) you would choose to make the highest nutritional quality juice (all types -- vegetable, fruit, wheat grass and citrus) if money and space were no object. I am interested in a lifestyle change, and am leaning toward purchasing the Green Life or Green Power juicers. However, I want to know if purchasing separate juicers for vegetables, fruits, citrus and wheat grass would yield more juice or higher quality juice.
I use several machines, each for its designed purpose..

Juiceman II- I juice carrots, and most fruits in it
Twin gear (green life)- for mostly leafy greens, and hard veggies
OrangeX Commercial citrus press- juice citrus
    Wheateena Wheatgrass juicer- juice wheatgrass.
Optimally, I believe separate machines are best, since they are designed for specific purposes, they generally perform better for that purpose. The green life for example, does not do fruits too well for most peoples standards, its designed to juice fibrous (leafy, hard) veggies, and needs the fiber to push the pulp through the machine to get juiced. (it seems to do ok with hard apples and hard pears, and watermelon), but I don't really recommend it for anything other fruits.. unless your putting in a carrot right after.. I would suggest starting with the green life, and if it does what you want, GREAT, if not, then start adding the machines. It provides the highest nutrient quality of the juicers we sell.

Is it safe to wash the parts of my juicer in the top rack of my dishwasher?
I always recommend to hand wash the juicer parts. Please note that the "motor base" of the juicers should not be placed under running water, they should be wiped down. If the "basket" or strainer is a little hard to clean with a sponge, I recommend using a vegetable brush with stiff nylon bristles to help you get it clean. I once put my juiceman II parts in the dishwasher, and the catch basket melted. So I do not recommend placing juicer parts in the dishwasher.

I have noiticed some of your juicers include "brushes" to clean the juicer. Do I need a special brush to clean the other juicers?
While most units do not come with "special" brush, (due to hard to reach places) I find a "dish brush" and a "bottle brush" (usually under $1) at a supermarket works great to assist in cleaning the juicer. Some people even use a toothbrush!

Could you recommend any books with juice recipes? I'm a new juicer and could use some help.

I can suggest a book that I have found to be very valuable is "The Juiceman's Power of Juicing", it and other juicing books are available here at the online bookstore.

    What is the best juicer?

There is no "best juicer". I believe the best juicer is the juicer that will suit a persons needs. There are several questions you should ask yourself, such as: What do you plan on juicing with the juicer? Is cleanup an important factor? How about nutrient quality? For further information, please read the juicer information we have available..

Will the fruit and vegetable juicers juice citrus?
Citrus fruits, such as oranges, grapefruits, tangerines, have a bitter outer rind, and juice from a "whole" orange would be too bitter to drink. It also contains indigestible chemicals. One solution is to grate away the outer rind (the orange coloring on the orange - it is best to leave the white "pith", as valuable nutrients are contained within the white area). The more common method, is to slice the fruit in half, and then using a "reamer" style juicer or a citrus press to press out the juice.

Whats the best juicer to juice fruit?
Actually I dont recommend juicing fruit. I personally BLEND my fruits (including pineapple).. I think its a terrible waste to juice fruits- they should be eaten whole or blended in my opinion-- the fiber in the fruits help slow the digestion of all the sugar.. When you juice them, you remove the fiber, so you get a "sugar rush"..

What is the difference of the Omega 4000 and Omega 8001. What are they good juicing?
Here is our take on the situation: The 4000 is better for juicing things like carrots, and fruits. The 8001 is better for juicing things like leafy greens, and wheatgrass. They two different extraction methods both have their benefits and drawbacks. Basically the 4000 is more of a "versitile" machine.. I believe they complement each other, and with both of them, you have your bases covered. Our recomendation: If you want to juice alot of fruit or have more versitility, the 4000 is probably a better choice.. If you want to juice more leafy greens, then maybe the 8001 would be a better choice.

I'm interested in a juicer for juicing carrots. What is the best juicer for juicing carrots and why?
Each type of juicer has its pros and cons.. You might want to read:
The Best Juicer Article that explains the various methods of juicing and the different kinds of juicers.

I personally prefer the centrifugal ejection juicer because its fast, easy to use and easy to clean. (such as the omega 4000), of course if you want the highest nutrient quality, the green life would be superior, but its a bit harder to clean...

    What is continuous Juicing?

Continuous juicing is that you can juice a gallon or more at a time, without stopping the juicer to clean it.

For example, the Acme 5001, 6001, and Omega 1000 you MUST stop juicing after about 1 quart of juice and clean the machine before juicing more. (pulp remains inside the machine, and must be manually taken out). On the omega 4000, you do not have to stop, since it kicks the pulp out into an external bin.

How do I make almond butter? If the green life makes almond powder out of almonds, what if I soak the almonds first?
Almond butter can be made with the green life or Green Power by making the almond powder, then adding some almond oil. If you desire, you can soak the almonds first, which will work better, but still wont give the "store bought" consistency.. since now you have a wet almond butter.. The champion works better in my opinion, since the friction causes some heat, which makes the butter bind together. I currently do not know of a product that will make the store bought consistency.

Is it more time consuming to make juice and clean the non-extracting juicer than the self-extracting models?
Yes, it is harder to clean the NON-ejecting units (omega 1000, 9000, Acme 6001) than the ejecting one in our opinion. Since the screen area is much larger, with more holes. Of course, if you
are using the optional filters, its probably a bit easier, since you can just remove the filter, and the pulp comes out with the filter.

How long can you store or refrigerate juice before it loses its 'potency'. Enzymes or whatever it has that makes it functional?
Fresh juice starts losing its potency from the minute you make it... We recomend to drink fresh juice as soon as posssible. If you need to store it, we reccomend storing it in a SEALED container, with little/no air space, (a mason jar or thermos) or better yet, use a foodsaver and vacuum seal the container (to remove air). If storing the juice, we recomend drinking it within 24 hours.

Please tell me what is the best juicer for my situation. I need something that is easy to use and even easier to use.
I would suggest a centrifugal ejection juicer- they are the easiest to use and clean. They do a good job on juicing a wide variety of produce.

What is the comparison between the juicer models as to the noise level while they are in use for normal juicing?
The noise levels are as follows:

    LEAST NOISE
Green Power,Green Life, Omega 8001, Oscar
    Champion
    Nutrisource, Lequip
    Omega 1000/9000, Acme 6001
    Omega 4000, Ultramatic, Juiceman II
    MOST NOISE

One thing to note is the RPM of the machine you are interested in.. The higher the RPM, generally the louder it is. Please see our decibel testing article in the articles section.
